Those of us who lived through it all remember where we were on November 22, 1963 when we heard JFK had been shot. That was a horrible day in American history. Fast forward 5 years November 22, 1968 that the Beatles White Album was released. (in England) A much better day. I remember that day too. Id had driven the 1/2 block to school in my father's Rambler. During lunch I ran out to the store and bought the White Album, and spent my drivers ed class looking at the posters which were enclosed in the album. Here are recordings of the rehersals for the White Album. I think you'll find them interesting. Both from a musical and historic perspective.
