" I have seen that we do not intend to free but to subjigate and so i am an anti-imperialist. I am opposed to having the eagle put its talons on any other land. I have a strong aversion to sending our bright boys out there to fight with a disgraced musket under a polluted flag."

Mark Twain

IMPEACH BUSH
Articles of Impeachment The legal basis for impeachment

Notes for the Consideration of Impeachment Six Background Notes

-------------------------------------------------------

Sam Alito is the newest Supreme Court Justice. Here is what he stands for.

Unchecked Presidential power
to torture or spy at will:
Long before al-Qaida, there was Alito, then an
assistant to the U.S. solicitor general, writing a 1984 memo proclaiming that government officials should be able to order domestic wiretaps without fear of legal retaliation by their subjects. Almost every worry about the Bush administration goes back to its arrogant, sweeping view of executive powers. There again, one finds Alito. –Seattle Post Intelligencer

The end of reproductive freedom:
There is every reason to believe that he will vote to overturn Roe v. Wade when the opportunity comes. –New York Times2 A threat to individual rights: Alito reads the Constitution and finds more power for the government and fewer rights for individuals. This apparent indifference to individual rights is disturbing. It runs counter to American history, which proves that human rights are won through political and legal struggle. –Grand Forks Herald

A record of deception:
Alito has deceived Congress and the nation to hide his extreme views: ...evasiveness, however pragmatic it might be, becomes troubling when it segues into disingenuousness. His fuzzy memory about his membership in the Concerned Alumni of Princeton, a group notoriously hostile to minority and women's rights, was simply not credible. –St. Louis Post-Dispatch

Is the US using weapons of mass destruction?

We have heard much in the past few years about weapons of mass destruction. This article published in the Journal of World Affairs this summer suggests that the United States has used depleted urainum weapons in at least 4 wars since 1991. By any standards, these are weapons of mass destruction. If this is true, it is our OBLIGATION as citizens to see that the use of these weapons ceases immediately. Please read this article and see what you think.
